This medication is used as an adjunct therapy to lower high total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels while increasing HDL cholesterol in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia. It is particularly used to reduce the risk of atherosclerotic vascular diseases caused by hypercholesterolemia and is effective when combined with appropriate dietary therapy. Additionally, it is recommended for use when dietary and other non-pharmacological treatments are insufficient. Before treatment, it is important to identify other causes that may cause dyslipidemia, such as diabetes and hypothyroidism, and to undertake necessary treatments. During treatment, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels should be monitored regularly to assess the effectiveness and safety of the therapy. This drug helps effectively control dyslipidemia and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
