This medication helps facilitate sputum discharge in conditions where sputum production is difficult, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, laryngitis, sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis. These conditions often involve inflammation of the bronchial or respiratory mucosa, leading to thick and abundant phlegm, which can cause severe coughing and discomfort in breathing. By using the medication, mucus becomes thinner and easier to expel, resulting in improved breathing and symptom relief. It is effectively used for respiratory diseases characterized by sputum retention.
