Child dose

Precautions

This medication is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to patients who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions to penicillins or cephalosporins. Special caution is warranted for patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia due to a higher risk of rash. Patients who have previously experienced hepatic dysfunction or jaundice from this medication or penicillin should not use it due to the risk of recurrence. This medication contains lactose and should not be given to patients with lactose intolerance or genetic metabolic disorders. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function should use this medication cautiously as it may accumulate in the body and enhance side effects. Allergic individuals or those with bronchial asthma should take special care due to the risk of hypersensitivity reactions. Patients receiving parenteral nutrition, the elderly, or patients in poor general condition may display symptoms of vitamin K deficiency, and should be closely monitored. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases or severe vomiting or diarrhea may experience impaired drug absorption. While this medication is generally well tolerated, side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, rash, and contact dermatitis may occur, and treatment should be discontinued if symptoms are severe. Though rare, serious side effects such as liver dysfunction, severe skin reactions, blood abnormalities, and kidney damage have also been reported, necessitating immediate notification to healthcare personnel upon symptom occurrence. Hypersensitivity or anaphylaxis may occur, so patients should be observed sufficiently post-administration, prepared for emergencies. If diarrhea occurs during or after antibiotic use, consult healthcare personnel immediately, considering the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis. Caution is advised when using this medication for more than 14 days due to the risk of resistant bacteria and fungal infections. This medication is not effective against viral infections; it should only be used when a bacterial infection is confirmed and should be taken consistently during the prescribed duration. Avoid administration during the first trimester of pregnancy, and pregnant or nursing women should use it cautiously after consulting a physician. Its safety and efficacy have not been established in infants under 3 months old. Overdose may result in gastrointestinal symptoms, renal dysfunction, neurological abnormalities, etc., so notify healthcare personnel immediately upon any adverse symptoms. Before use, shake the medication well, and store it in the refrigerator after preparation, using it within 7 days. Keep it out of reach of children and store it away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
