Adult dose

Use in adult men The recommended dose of this medicine is 10mg, taken with or without food before anticipated sexual activity. For patients in whom tadalafil 10mg does not provide an adequate effect, 20mg may be tried. This medicine may be taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety after extended daily dosing has not been established, and because the effect of this medicine usually lasts for more than one day, continuous daily administration is strongly not recommended. [See sections 1. Warnings and 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] Use in elderly men No dosage adjustment is required in elderly patients. Use in men with renal impairment No dosage adjustment is required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. Use in children and adolescents This medicine should not be used in people under 18 years of age.

This medication is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and the physician must check the patient's cardiovascular condition and medical history thoroughly before prescribing this medication. Since sexual activity can place a strain on the heart, cardiac health must be evaluated before starting treatment. If an erection lasting more than 4 hours occurs after taking this medication, seek immediate medical attention as untreated cases can lead to penile tissue damage and permanent loss of erectile function. This medication should not be used by patients taking nitrate preparations, as there is a risk of dangerously low blood pressure. Patients with recent cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction, angina, stroke, uncontrolled hypertension, or hypotension should not use this medication. Patients with genetic retinal diseases or hypersensitivity to this medication should also avoid its use. It is not recommended to use this medication together with other erectile dysfunction treatments, as its safety has not been established. Patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment should use this medication with caution, as the combination with some antihypertensive agents may cause symptoms of hypotension. During the course of this medication, side effects such as headache, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, limb pain, nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory infection, cough, diarrhea, gastroesophageal reflux disease, abdominal pain, dizziness, lightheadedness, sensory disturbance, insomnia, drowsiness, vertigo, renal impairment, shortness of breath, itching, rash, sweating, blurred vision, color vision disturbance, conjunctivitis, eye pain, increased tear production, eyelid swelling, sudden hearing loss or decrease, tinnitus, and increased erections may occur, most of which are mild to moderate. Rarely, severe cardiovascular adverse reactions or reports of vision and hearing loss have occurred, so immediate medical attention is necessary if these symptoms appear. Caution should be exercised when taking this medication with alcohol, as it may exacerbate blood pressure lowering and dizziness. It should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women or by children. While it does not significantly affect driving or machine operation, individual responses should be checked before use. In the event of an overdose, seek medical attention immediately, as blood dialysis does not significantly affect the excretion of this medication. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and kept in its original packaging.
