This medicine is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin together. Telmisartan primarily helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular disease in patients with essential hypertension and those aged 55 and older who are at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Rosuvastatin is used to treat hypercholesterolemia and familial hypercholesterolemia that are not controlled by diet, and lowers LDL cholesterol levels while delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it contributes to reducing the risks of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization in high-risk groups for cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this medicine is used to improve cardiovascular health in patients with concomitant hypertension and dyslipidemia.
