This medicine is used for patients who need to take Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan is primarily used to help control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. It particularly reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular disease in high-risk patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors or have a history of coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, or stroke. Rosuvastatin is used when dietary management and exercise are insufficient in patients with hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia, lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels to delay the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, Rosuvastatin helps reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular re-intervention in elderly patients with cardiovascular risk factors. Therefore, this medicine effectively improves the risk of cardiovascular disease through blood pressure and cholesterol management.
