Efficacy & effects

Improvement of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes

View approved original text

This drug is used to assist in the dietary and exercise management of blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can be administered alone or may be used in combination therapy as necessary. For example, it may be administered with insulin when blood sugar control is insufficient with oral hypoglycemic agents. It is also used in combination with metformin when sulfonylurea medications or metformin alone are ineffective. These methods effectively improve blood sugar control.
