This medication is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan is effective for treating essential hypertension and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, particularly helping to lower the risks of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death in high-risk cardiovascular disease patients. Rosuvastatin is used for the treatment of various dyslipidemias, including primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, and helps to lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol to target levels, slowing the progression of atherosclerosis when combined with dietary therapy. Additionally, it helps reduce the risks of stroke, myocardial infarction, and endovascular procedures in patients with high cardiovascular disease risk. Thus, these two components are used to improve cardiovascular health by managing both hypertension and hyperlipidemia simultaneously.
