Precautions

This drug is a penicillin-class antibiotic and should not be administered to certain patients. There may be severe allergic reactions in patients with hypersensitivity to this drug's components or beta-lactam drugs. Patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia have a higher risk of side effects such as skin rashes and should be cautious. Patients who have had liver dysfunction or jaundice from this drug or penicillin in the past also have a risk of recurrence, and it should not be administered. Additionally, this medication contains lactose and is not to be given to patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders. Patients with liver dysfunction may experience further deterioration of liver function when using this medication, so it should be used cautiously. Patients with moderate to severe renal impairment may have drug accumulation in the body, requiring careful adjustment of dosing intervals. Those with a history of allergic reactions, asthma, or urticaria should be cautious as there is a risk of hypersensitivity. Patients who cannot take oral medications, elderly individuals, or those in poor overall condition may experience vitamin K deficiency symptoms, so caution is needed. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases accompanied by vomiting or diarrhea may not absorb the medication properly. This drug generally has good tolerance, but mild side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, and skin rashes may occur. Rarely, hepatitis, jaundice, serious skin reactions, blood disorders, and kidney impairment may occur, so you should immediately consult a healthcare provider upon experiencing abnormal symptoms. Serious intestinal diseases like pseudomembranous colitis may arise during antibiotic use, so if diarrhea or abdominal pain persists, stop the medication and seek medical attention. This drug only works against infected bacteria and is ineffective against viral infections, so accurate adherence to the prescribed dosage is necessary to prevent resistance. Women in early pregnancy or pregnant women should avoid use unless special circumstances exist, and nursing mothers should be cautious as their babies may experience diarrhea or allergic reactions. The safety of this drug has not been established in infants under 3 months old, and it should not be administered to them. During the use of this drug, it is important to inform healthcare providers as it can affect specific test results. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, rash, renal impairment, and seizures may appear, and immediate contact with healthcare services for appropriate treatment is advised. This medication should be stored in a cool, dry place out of reach of children, and must be refrigerated after preparation and used within 7 days for safety.
