How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

For both 0.1% and 0.3% formulations, instill 1 drop, 5 to 6 times a day. The dosage may be appropriately adjusted according to symptoms. Typically, the 0.1% formulation is administered, and if it is insufficiently effective for severe conditions, the 0.3% formulation is applied.

Precautions

This medication is an eye drop containing sodium hyaluronate as its main ingredient and is used to relieve dryness and irritation of the eyes. First, this medicine should not be used by patients who are allergic to its components. Particularly, those with hypersensitivity to protein-based medications should exercise caution. During use, symptoms such as eyelid itching, eye irritation, conjunctivitis, redness, and inflammation of the corneal surface may occur. If these symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Additionally, it is rare for discharge to occur or for pain in the eye to arise, and inflammation or dermatitis of the eyelids may also occur. If such hypersensitivity reactions are observed, discontinue use of the medication and seek appropriate treatment. This medication may show more frequent side effects when used in conjunction with steroids, antibiotics, glaucoma treatments, antihistamines, and anti-inflammatory analgesics, so consult with a doctor if using in combination. It is not recommended to use this medication simultaneously with other eye drops. If another eye drop is necessary, it should be administered first and this medication should be used after a 30-minute interval. This product should only be used for eye instillation, and care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from touching the eyelids or eyelashes; otherwise, the solution may become contaminated. Furthermore, the preservative benzalkonium chloride included in this medication can adhere to soft contact lenses, so it should not be used while wearing lenses, and lenses should only be worn at least 15 minutes after administration. To prevent contamination of the solution, sharing the medication with others is discouraged. Lastly, store out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and keep in a cool place. Also, do not transfer the medication to another container to maintain its quality.
