Acute bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchi that causes symptoms such as cough, phlegm, and difficulty breathing. This medication helps alleviate the symptoms of acute bronchitis and reduce inflammation. It stops coughs and eases breathing, thus decreasing patient discomfort. It is used for the treatment of acute bronchitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 12 and above: 1 tablet per dose, 3 times a day, taken with a small amount of water.

Precautions

This medication is not recommended for use by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Patients who are easily prone to bleeding, those taking anticoagulants, and patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction should also avoid this medication. Additionally, individuals allergic to any of the components of this drug and children under 12 years of age should not use it. This medication contains lactose, so patients with genetic disorders that inhibit lactose digestion should avoid it. This drug contains a coloring agent known as Tartrazine; individuals with allergies or previous hypersensitive reactions to this component should be cautious in its use. Occasionally, gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, nausea, or diarrhea may occur. Rarely, symptoms such as gum bleeding or nasal bleeding may occur, as well as allergic reactions such as skin rashes or itching. Very rarely, severe allergic reactions that may cause facial swelling or difficulty breathing can occur, so caution is needed. There may also be signs of liver dysfunction; therefore, particular care is necessary if there are issues with liver health. If symptoms indicating liver damage appear, such as jaundice, dark-colored urine, severe abdominal pain, or loss of appetite, usage should be immediately stopped and a doctor consulted. If persistent fever, difficulty breathing, or bloody sputum occurs, consumption should cease and medical personnel notified. It is recommended not to take the medication while lying down. Currently, there is limited knowledge about interactions with other medications, but as it may affect blood clotting, caution is advised when taken with anticoagulants. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, it is recommended not to take this medication due to uncertainty about its safety. In the case of overdose, while no specific cases have been reported, side effects may worsen, so immediate consultation with a doctor is important. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container could cause accidents or degrade the quality of the drug, so care is necessary.
