This medication is used to treat infectious diseases caused by various bacteria. It is effective for respiratory diseases such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscesses, and is also helpful in the treatment of tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. Additionally, it is used for urinary infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis. It is effective for the treatment of pelvic infections, sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, boils, abscesses, soft tissue infections, and wound infections. This drug is widely used for osteomyelitis and dental infections as well. Overall, it is useful for the treatment of various bacterial infections and helps patients recover quickly.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults with severe infections and respiratory infections, take 2 tablets orally, twice a day every 12 hours. In patients with renal impairment, the dose may be reduced depending on kidney function status. This medication should not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment (glomerular filtration rate below 30 mL/min).

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have experienced allergies or hypersensitivity to specific ingredients or beta-lactam antibiotics. Patients with viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia are at increased risk of rash and require caution. It should also be avoided in patients with liver function problems or genetic metabolic disorders such as lactose intolerance.
