Improvement of sputum discharge difficulties in respiratory diseases such as acute and chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma
This medication is used to relieve symptoms of sputum discharge difficulties caused by acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, laryngitis, sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis.
Acute disease: 200 mg once, three times a day Chronic disease: 200 mg once, twice a day
Acute disease (ages 6 to 14): 200 mg once, twice a day Chronic disease (ages 6 to 14): 100 mg once, three times a day Cystic fibrosis (ages 6 and older): 200 mg once, three times a day
This drug should not be taken by individuals allergic to any specific ingredients. Patients with ulcers in the stomach or duodenum should not take this medication. Children under 2 years of age should not take this drug. This drug contains lactose, so individuals with genetic disorders that prevent lactose digestion should avoid it. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant must consult a physician before taking this medication, and it should be used only when absolutely necessary. Nursing women should also consult a professional before taking this drug, as it is uncertain whether it is excreted in breast milk. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, oral inflammation, heartburn, or diarrhea occur during treatment, stop taking the drug immediately and consult a professional. Allergic reactions, such as hives, itching, rash, headache, tinnitus, and bronchospasm in asthma patients, may occur, so caution is advised. Symptoms such as palpitations or increased blood pressure, and rarely anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction) may occur, so consult a professional immediately if any unusual symptoms arise. If breathing difficulties occur, stop taking the drug immediately and consult medical staff. This drug may reduce the effects of certain oral antibiotics, so it should be taken at least 2 hours apart from antibiotics. It is advisable to avoid mixing this drug solution with other medications. Keep this medication in a safe place out of reach of children, and store it in its original container to maintain quality. Patients with asthma or respiratory function issues must consult a professional before using the inhalation form of this medication. Bronchospasm or obstruction may occur upon inhalation, so if symptoms appear, usage should be stopped immediately and medical personnel informed. After inhalation of this medication, symptoms like lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite may occur, so caution is needed. Occasionally, symptoms such as chest tightness or drowsiness, and oral inflammation may occur after inhalation, so consult a professional if symptoms are severe. Excess mucus may build up in the bronchi. If sputum does not come out naturally, appropriate measures, such as mechanical suction or changing posture, should be taken. Do not mix with antibiotics for inhalation, and if necessary, administer them either separately by inhalation or by injection or orally. This drug is not used as an injection or eye drops, and if the mask sticks to the face after inhalation, it can be easily removed by washing with water. Elderly patients should take this medication cautiously, observing their condition closely as bodily functions may decline. After using the inhaler, the nebulizer should be cleaned thoroughly, as prolonged contact with the solution can damage parts. Mixing this medication with certain antibiotics (such as tetracycline, erythromycin, etc.) may cause precipitation or discoloration, so they should not be used together. During nebulization, the medication may concentrate, so it is advisable to dilute it with sterile distilled water for injection.
