Adult dose
Adults and children aged 12 years and older or weighing over 40 kg are to take 250 mg/125 mg of Amoxicillin/Clavulanate potassium orally three times a day every 8 hours. In cases of severe and respiratory infections, the dosage may be increased to 500 mg/125 mg. In cases of renal impairment, the dosage should be adjusted based on creatinine clearance. For creatinine clearance of 10 to 30 mL/min, administer 250 mg of Amoxicillin every 12 hours.
Child dose
Adults and children aged 12 years and older or weighing over 40 kg are dosed the same way. For children with renal impairment, the dosage is adjusted based on creatinine clearance.

This medication is effective against various bacterial infections. It is used for acute and chronic bronchitis, lobar pneumonia, empyema, lung abscess, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also helpful in the treatment of urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis, as well as pelvic infections and gonorrhea. It can be effectively used for skin and soft tissue abscesses, pyodermas, wound infections, osteomyelitis, and dental infections. Thus, it is utilized in the treatment of infections caused by a variety of bacteria to aid patient recovery.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 12 years and older or weighing over 40 kg are to take 250 mg/125 mg of Amoxicillin/Clavulanate potassium orally three times a day every 8 hours.
