Adult dose
For oral administration. 1. Erectile dysfunction Use in adult men The recommended dose of this medicine is 10mg, taken before anticipated sexual activity, regardless of meals. For patients in whom tadalafil 10mg does not provide sufficient effect, 20 mg may be tried. This medicine may be administered at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety after prolonged daily dosing has not been established, and because the effect of this medicine generally lasts for more than one day, continuous daily administration of this medicine is strongly not recommended. [See section 1. Warnings and section 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] 2. Special populations ● Use in elderly men Dose adjustments are not required in elderly patients. ● Use in men with renal impairment Dose adjustment is not required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose for patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. [See section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. ● Use in men with hepatic impairment The recommended dose of this medicine is 10mg, taken before anticipated sexual activity, regardless of meals. Since clinical data on the safety of this medicine in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class C) are limited, the prescriber should carefully assess the individual benefit/risk when prescribing. Precautions

This medication is used to treat erectile dysfunction, and it is essential to confirm the underlying cause of erectile dysfunction through a doctor's examination before use. Patients with cardiovascular diseases should assess their cardiovascular condition before treatment, as sexual activity can put a strain on the heart. This medication can rarely cause an erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism), so if this occurs, immediate medical assistance is required. Taking this medication with nitrate preparations or NO donors can cause blood pressure to drop to dangerous levels; therefore, it should not be used if these medications are being taken. Patients who have had major cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction, angina, heart failure, or stroke recently should not take this medication. Patients with hereditary retinal disorders or specific lactose intolerance should also avoid this medication. It is not recommended to use this medication in combination with other erectile dysfunction treatments as safety and efficacy have not been established. Patients with severe renal or liver function impairment may require dose adjustments, and careful judgment from a physician is necessary. While taking this medication, symptoms of severe hypotension or dizziness may occur; caution should be exercised when used with medications that affect blood pressure, such as alpha-blockers. Common side effects of this medication include headaches, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia, flushing, and pain in the limbs. Some patients have reported serious cardiovascular adverse reactions or loss of vision and hearing. If sudden loss of vision or hearing occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult with a healthcare provider. It is not authorized for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women or children, and its safety has not been established. Caution should be taken when driving or operating machinery, and individuals should check their response to this medication before engaging in these activities.
