Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have had an allergic reaction to this drug or any of its components. Additionally, it contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetically determined lactose intolerance or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients with liver problems or a history of liver disease should use this drug with caution, as liver function may worsen. If symptoms of an allergic reaction such as rash, urticaria, swelling of the face or extremities, or itching occur while taking this medication, treatment should be stopped immediately, and medical attention should be sought. Occasionally, central nervous system symptoms like drowsiness, headache, dizziness, insomnia, or nightmares may occur, so caution is needed. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include nausea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, diarrhea, and constipation, so if any abnormal symptoms persist, consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. Since liver enzymes may rise or jaundice may occur, regular liver function tests should be performed, and medication should be discontinued if any signs appear. Rarely, kidney function may be affected, so caution should be exercised if symptoms such as proteinuria occur. Urological symptoms such as frequent urination or hematuria may occur, so patients should inform their doctor if they experience these symptoms. Symptoms like palpitations, dyspnea, and nasal congestion may occur rarely. Hematological abnormalities such as thrombocytopenia or leukocytosis may occur, so periodic blood tests are advisable. Rare cases of gynecomastia, menstrual irregularities, and changes in taste have also been reported, so consultation should be sought if these symptoms arise. This medication is not an immediate relief treatment for asthma attacks, so it is important to thoroughly explain its effects and usage to asthma patients. Patients receiving long-term steroid therapy should gradually reduce their steroid dosage when taking this drug, under medical supervision. This medication may cause drowsiness, so caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery. If the medication is ineffective, it is preferable not to take it for an extended period. Patients with seasonal allergies should start taking the drug before symptoms begin and continue consistently throughout the symptomatic period. This drug has minimal interactions with other medications; however, caution is necessary when taken in combination with sedatives or alcohol. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should use this drug only when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Women who are breastfeeding should avoid using this drug if possible, as it can be passed through breast milk, and if it must be used, breastfeeding should be stopped. Safety in children, newborns, and infants has not been adequately established, so use should be cautious. Elderly patients may have reduced liver or kidney function, so if any adverse reactions occur, dosage adjustment or discontinuation may be necessary. In case of overdose, cardiac abnormalities such as arrhythmias may occur, so if overdose is suspected, immediate medical treatment should be sought. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers may compromise its quality, so caution should be taken. Finally, the timing of administration relative to meals can affect blood concentration, so it is important to take the drug at appropriate times according to symptoms.
