Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or similar components, pregnant or nursing women, those with severe liver dysfunction, aortic stenosis, biliary obstruction, renal dialysis patients, patients in shock, or certain diabetic patients. In patients with low fluid or sodium levels, hypotension may occur, so careful monitoring of their condition should be conducted during initial administration. Patients with aortic stenosis should be particularly cautious due to potential rapid decreases in blood pressure from vasodilation. This medication may affect the condition in patients with heart disease or heart failure, so it should be used with caution. In patients with impaired kidney function, it can worsen kidney function, so it should be administered cautiously. Patients with decreased liver function may also be affected in drug metabolism, so caution is necessary. Side effects such as dizziness, headaches, hypotension, cough, dyspepsia, rash, edema, and others may occur during treatment. Especially, since potassium levels in the blood may increase, regular blood tests may be necessary. Care should be taken to avoid drug interactions, and co-administration with grapefruit juice should be avoided as it can enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect. This medication should not be used during pregnancy, and if planning for pregnancy, it is recommended to switch to other safe antihypertensive agents. Nursing women should discontinue breastfeeding or the use of this medication as it may be transmitted through breast milk and could cause side effects in infants. Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so it is not recommended for them. In elderly patients, drug metabolism and excretion may slow down, so it's important to start with a low dose and adjust it carefully. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension and vasodilation may occur, requiring immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. Store this medication out of reach of children and protect it from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
