How to take

Adult dose

For adults with severe infections and respiratory infections, take 2 tablets orally, twice a day every 12 hours.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to beta-lactam antibiotics or have experienced hypersensitivity. Special caution is needed for patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia as they are at higher risk for rashes. Patients with a history of liver function issues should also avoid this medication as symptoms may reappear. Patients with weakened liver or kidney function should use this medication with caution, adjusting dosage and administration intervals. Patients with allergic constitutions or severe gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea should be careful. Gastrointestinal symptoms like diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting may occur, and in severe cases, pseudomembranous colitis may develop. Rarely, symptoms of liver function abnormalities may appear, so regular liver function tests are necessary. Skin rashes, itching, and in severe cases serious skin reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, and discontinuation of the drug should be immediate if symptoms appear. Abnormal blood reactions such as anemia and leukopenia have been reported rarely, so caution is necessary. Central nervous system adverse symptoms like dizziness and convulsions may occur rarely, and if there are abnormal symptoms, consultation with a physician is advised. Patients with reduced kidney function may experience kidney damage, thus regular monitoring is necessary. This medication affects the intestinal bacterial balance, potentially leading to fungal infections like candidiasis, so symptoms should be reported. Vitamin K deficiency symptoms may appear, necessitating caution in patients prone to bleeding. Use of this medication should be avoided in early pregnancy, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a physician before administration. Use is not recommended in children, especially those under 12 years or weighing less than 40 kg. Elderly patients are at higher risk of side effects due to reduced kidney and liver functions, so dosage and intervals should be adjusted carefully. Patients should inform healthcare providers immediately in the event of allergic reactions or severe side effects during treatment and should undergo regular liver and kidney function tests. Overdose may lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, kidney damage, and neurological anomalies, necessitating immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. This medication should be stored in a dry place at temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius, and potential drug interactions should be communicated to healthcare providers if other medications are being taken.
