Effect of providing calories and essential fatty acids through intravenous nutrition
This medicine is used to supplement calories, amino acids, essential fatty acids, and omega-3 fatty acids in children over 2 years and adults when oral or gastrointestinal nutrition is difficult. It helps to improve the nutritional status of patients and maintain normal bodily functions.
Children 12 years and older and adults - Normal nutritional status or patients with mild metabolic stress: 0.6-0.9 g/kg of amino acids (0.10-0.15 g/kg nitrogen) daily - Patients under moderate to severe metabolic stress: 0.9-1.6 g/kg of amino acids (0.15-0.25 g/kg nitrogen) daily Dosage: 13-31 ml/kg per day (amino acid 0.6-1.6 g/kg)
Children aged 2-11 years Dosage: Adjusted regularly according to required amounts up to 35 mL/kg per day Administration rate: Do not exceed 2.4 mL/kg per hour Duration of administration: Recommended 12-24 hours, special circumstances
This medication must be used according to a doctor's instructions, and should not be stopped or changed arbitrarily. If symptoms of anaphylaxis such as fever, chills, rash, or difficulty breathing occur during use, immediately stop administration and inform medical personnel. When used with intravenous calcium-containing preparations, do not mix with ceftriaxone, and if the same infusion apparatus must be used, thoroughly wash the infusion line before and after administration. Special caution is required for premature infants or low-birth-weight infants since the lipid components of this medication may not be well eliminated from their bodies, posing risks. This product contains components that can cause allergic reactions; therefore, patients allergic to fish, eggs, soy, peanuts, etc., should not use it. Patients with specific diseases such as severe liver dysfunction, hyperlipidemia, blood coagulation disorders, or renal failure should not be administered this medication, and children under 2 years should also not use it. Patients with diseases that may affect fat metabolism, such as renal failure, diabetes, or liver dysfunction, should use this medication with caution. During administration, blood lipid levels, liver enzyme levels, blood glucose, and electrolyte concentrations should be monitored regularly to detect any abnormalities early and manage them appropriately. In cases of overdose, side effects due to lipidemia syndrome, hyperglycemia, and excess amino acids may occur, so caution is required, and if symptoms appear, administration should be promptly stopped or adjusted. This medication should be prepared in a sterile state, and strict aseptic procedures are necessary to prevent infection during administration. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a physician before using this medication as its safety has not been established. When administering this drug, check the packaging conditions and ensure the contents are homogeneous and not degraded; use it quickly after mixing. Administering too rapidly may pose risks, so it is recommended to control the infusion rate and use an infusion pump if possible. Storage should be kept at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius, and after mixing, it should be used within 24 hours at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius.
