Relief of symptoms of gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and gastroesophageal reflux disease, as well as treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection
This medication is effective in the treatment of ulcers that occur in the stomach and duodenum. It also helps relieve uncomfortable symptoms caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease and maintain a stable condition for a long time after treatment. For patients with digestive ulcers infected with Helicobacter pylori, it enhances the treatment effect when combined with antibiotics. It is also used in conditions of excessive gastric acid secretion, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This medication is used for the treatment of various gastrointestinal related diseases.
For adults, 10 mg is administered orally once daily. Depending on symptoms, 20 mg may be administered orally once daily. It should be administered for up to 8 weeks for gastric ulcers and up to 6 weeks for duodenal ulcers. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease, 10 mg or 20 mg is administered orally once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. If not treated, an additional 10 mg or 20 mg may be taken orally twice a day for another 8 weeks.
This medication should not be used by certain patients. Do not take if you are allergic to this medication or its components, or have a hypersensitivity to specific antibiotics or other medications. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also avoid using this medication. Patients with impaired liver function, elderly individuals, and those with a history of drug allergies should use this medication with caution. This medication contains certain dyes, so caution is required if you are allergic to these ingredients. If any allergic symptoms such as rash, hives, or itching occur while taking, discontinue use immediately. Regular blood tests are recommended as red blood cell or white blood cell counts may change. It is advisable to periodically check liver enzyme levels since this medication may affect liver function. Patients with heart disease should exercise caution as it may affect the heart and blood vessels. Digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea may occur, and unusual symptoms should be reported. Neurological symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and insomnia may also occur. Various side effects, including respiratory symptoms, skin rash, and hair loss, have been reported. This medication may increase the risk of bone fractures with long-term use, so caution is needed. Hypomagnesemia may occur rarely, so it is advisable to monitor blood magnesium levels with long-term use. This medication reduces gastric acid secretion, which may slightly increase the risk of gastrointestinal infections. Be cautious of drowsiness when driving or operating machinery. There may be interactions with other medications, so be sure to inform your doctor if you are taking other medications. It is safer not to use this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Elderly patients may be at risk for side effects due to declining liver function, so they should consult a healthcare professional if symptoms occur. Safety in children has not been established, and use is not recommended. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so appropriate treatment according to symptoms is necessary. This medication should be swallowed whole and not chewed or crushed. Keep out of reach of children, and do not transfer to another container. Regular examinations and monitoring as directed by a doctor are necessary with long-term use.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in the mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities with cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), extreme fatigue, sudden and severe headache, lightning headaches, seizures, confusion, vision problems, paralysis, significantly reduced urine output.

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is recommended to maintain a storage temperature between 1°C and 30°C. By storing it this way, the effectiveness of the medication can be safely maintained.
