Breastfeeding women should use caution as this medication may be excreted in breast milk, possibly causing adverse reactions in infants. This medication is mainly excreted through the kidneys; hence elderly patients with reduced kidney function should start at a low dose and be closely monitored. Before undergoing allergy testing, it is advisable to discontinue this medication temporarily to enhance the accuracy of the test.
