This medication helps relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tears caused by colds or allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. It also has a temporary effect in alleviating nasal congestion caused by sinusitis. Therefore, it is used to improve various uncomfortable symptoms related to the nose.

How to take

Adult dose

Children aged 12 years and older and adults: Take 10ml every 4 hours. Do not exceed 60ml within 24 hours, and follow the doctor's instructions.

Child dose

Children aged 6 to under 12 years: Take 5ml every 4 hours. Do not exceed 30ml within 24 hours, and follow the doctor's instructions. Children aged 2 to under 6 years: Follow the doctor's instructions.

Precautions

This medication contains sympathomimetic amines and antihistamines, so patients allergic to this medication's components should not take it. It is especially recommended that people with sensitive constitutions or nursing women avoid taking this medication. Additionally, patients with severe hypertension, coronary artery disease, and those taking MAO inhibitors should not use this medication. Individuals with narrow-angle glaucoma, difficulty urinating, peptic ulcers, asthma, or chronic pulmonary diseases should also avoid this medication. Caution is necessary for patients taking sedatives or tranquilizers when using this medication together. Patients who have difficulty urinating due to chronic bronchitis, heart disease, hypertension, thyroid dysfunction, diabetes, or prostate enlargement should only take this medication under a doctor's instruction. Due to the sympathomimetic components, side effects such as anxiety, tremors, fatigue, pallor, breathing difficulties, difficulty urinating, insomnia, hallucinations, convulsions, heart arrhythmias, dizziness, and hypotension may occur. Persons sensitive to the phenylephrine component may experience rapid heartbeat, headaches, dizziness, and nausea, but at appropriate doses, it is a safe medication. Those allergic to antihistamines may experience drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, headaches, nervousness, frequent urination, chest pain, blurred vision, and difficulty urinating, and rarely, dermatitis may occur. This medication may cause drowsiness, so taking it with alcohol, sedatives, or tranquilizers may intensify drowsiness. Children may even exhibit excitement, so caution is warranted. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if high fever occurs, consult a doctor. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication, and it is safer to avoid tasks that require concentration such as driving or operating machinery. Be careful not to exceed the prescribed dosage, and if an overdose occurs accidentally, please consult a doctor immediately. If symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia, or nervousness occur, stop taking the medication and seek medical attention. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It should also be stored in its original container as transferring it to another container may reduce the medication's quality or risk misuse.
