This medication should not be used by pregnant women, individuals who are weak, those with fever, or individuals with hypertension or atherosclerosis. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so individuals with galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption due to genetic issues should also avoid it. Side effects such as dry mouth or a burning sensation on the tongue may occur during use. Caution should be taken if the component glycyrrhizin is taken for an extended period in doses exceeding 40mg daily, as it can lead to low blood potassium levels, increase blood pressure, or result in fluid retention and swelling. When preparing the medicine, it is advisable not to use Pinellia and Atractylodes together. When storing, it should be kept in a tightly sealed container away from direct sunlight and in a cool place with low humidity, as transferring it to another container may lead to misuse. Especially since it contains licorice, individuals with high blood pressure, older adults, those with heart or kidney problems, and those with edema should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If during use, there is reduced urine output, swelling of the face and limbs, heaviness of the eyelids, stiff hands, increased blood pressure, or headaches, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a specialist. Long-term use of licorice components exceeding 1g daily can cause side effects such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, and weight gain, so blood potassium levels should be checked regularly. Additionally, due to hypokalemia, muscle weakness or symptoms like cramps and paralysis may appear, and if these symptoms occur, the medication should be discontinued, and a doctor should be consulted. When taking this medication, caution is advised when used together with potassium-containing medications, medications with licorice components, or certain diuretics, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air or moisture. The storage temperature should be maintained at room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees.
