Precautions

This medication is a nasal spray used to relieve symptoms of allergy or rhinitis. Firstly, it should not be used by patients who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients, or have infections of the nasal mucosa. Patients who have recently undergone nasal surgery or have wounds in the nose should avoid using this medication until healing is complete. It should not be used in children under 2 years of age. Precautions should be taken for patients with tuberculosis or systemic infections, those with ocular herpes, patients who frequently experience nosebleeds, those at risk of chickenpox or measles infections, patients with specific types of nasal polyps, and pregnant or breastfeeding women due to potential risks. Possible side effects from using this medication include headache, cold symptoms, nosebleeds, cough, and throat pain. Rarely, serious allergic reactions such as bronchospasm or difficulty breathing can occur, so if abnormal symptoms arise, it is important to stop using the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Long-term high-dose use can have systemic effects, so caution is advised. Regular examinations should be conducted to monitor for abnormalities in the nasal mucosa during treatment, and if a local fungal infection occurs, treatment may be required. This medication should be used only in the nasal cavity, and care should be taken not to spray directly into the eyes or septum. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medication cautiously, weighing the potential risks and benefits, especially during pregnancy due to possible effects on the fetus. Regular monitoring of growth status in children is advisable because there is a possibility of growth delay; it should not be used in children under 2 years of age due to lack of established safety. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily function, so their condition should be monitored closely during use. When used in conjunction with other specific medications, drug interactions may occur, so it is important to inform the doctor or pharmacist about any other medications being taken and consult them. In case of overdose, no specific treatment is typically required; however, caution should be exercised due to potential adrenal suppression issues associated with excessive use of corticosteroid medications. Finally, this medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and the container should be shaken well before use to ensure uniform spraying, discarding it if the designated period of use or number of doses is exceeded.
