Adult use

1. Allergic Rhinitis Adults (including the elderly) and adolescents aged 12 years and older: Generally, two sprays in each nostril once a day (total daily dose 0.2 mg). If symptoms are alleviated, the maintenance dose can be reduced to one spray in each nostril (total daily dose 0.1 mg). If symptoms are not alleviated, the dose may be increased to a maximum of four sprays in each nostril once a day (total daily dose 0.4 mg).

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with allergies to this drug or its components or with a history of hypersensitivity. If there is an untreated infection in the nasal mucosa, this medication should not be administered, and patients who have had nasal surgery or have wounds in the nose should not use it until the wounds have fully healed. This drug is not used in children under 2 years of age. Patients with active tuberculosis or systemic infections should use with caution, as should those with frequent nosebleeds. Extra caution is required if there is a risk of exposure to varicella or measles or potential for infection. Patients with nasal polyps or completely blocked nasal passages should consult a physician before use, as the drug's effectiveness may not be clear. Women during pregnancy or those who may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should carefully consider the use of this drug based on a physician's judgment. Although this drug primarily acts locally in the nasal cavity, systemic side effects may occur rarely, thus caution is needed with long-term high-dose use. If local fungal infections occur in the nose or throat during use, discontinue immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Long-term use of this medication requires regular check-ups to monitor changes in the nasal mucosa. The risk of glaucoma or cataracts is low; however, if vision changes occur, consultation with an ophthalmologist is necessary. Caution is advisable when used alongside systemic corticosteroids as the risk of side effects may increase. In children, growth rates may slow, thus regular monitoring of growth is recommended. In cases of overdose, special treatment is usually not needed, but monitoring for possible systemic side effects is advised. Always shake the container well before use and conduct a test spray, taking care not to spray directly into the eyes or septum. Store out of reach of children and the effects on driving or operating machinery are not known.
