It contains a dye called Tartrazine (Yellow No. 5), so individuals who have had allergic or hypersensitive reactions to this ingredient should use it with caution. Drowsiness may occur when taking this medicine, so special care should be taken when driving or operating dangerous machinery. Rarely, symptoms such as mental fatigue, numbness in the hands and feet, or staggering may appear. It may cause gastrointestinal issues, resulting in dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or constipation. Facial flushing or shortness of breath may rarely occur, so caution is needed. Dryness of the nose may occur. It may affect liver function, leading to elevated liver enzyme levels. If allergic reactions such as rashes occur on the skin, discontinue use immediately. Difficulty urinating or symptoms such as hematuria or frequent urination may appear. An increase in white blood cell count has been rarely reported. Swelling of the body or menstrual irregularities may occur. Individuals undergoing long-term steroid treatment should slowly adjust steroid dosages when taking this medicine. Patients with bronchial asthma should be aware that this medicine is not a quick relief for sudden attacks. For seasonal allergies, it is advisable to start taking the medication before symptoms begin and continue until symptoms resolve. Care should be taken as consuming alcohol may enhance the sedative effect of this medicine. Caution is also needed when taken with specific drugs. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully weigh the benefits and risks of using this medicine, as high doses in animal studies have been associated with teratogenic effects. Women who are breastfeeding should avoid taking this medicine if possible or stop nursing as it may pass into breast milk. Safety in premature infants, newborns, infants, and children has not been sufficiently established. Elderly individuals may have reduced physical function, so dosage should be reduced and used with caution. A bitter taste may be experienced with this medication.
