For example, individuals with hypersensitivity to this drug or its components, or to benzimidazoles may experience severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, angioedema, or bronchospasm, hence caution is required. Patients allergic to penicillin or macrolide antibiotics must also inform their healthcare provider before using this medication due to potential side effects when used in combination with these antibiotics.
