This medication is used for the treatment of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease. It helps improve the patient's cognitive decline and daily living abilities.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken orally once a day, at the same time each day. If necessary, it can be taken twice daily. The maximum daily dose is 20mg, and the dose should be increased by 5mg weekly for the first 3 weeks. Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients allergic to any of its components. It should also not be administered to patients with severely impaired liver function or significantly poor kidney function. Additionally, as this medication contains lactose, patients with genetic conditions that prevent lactose digestion should not take it. Patients with epilepsy or those who have previously experienced seizures or are at high risk for the development of epilepsy should use this medication with caution. Furthermore, taking this medication with other drugs that act on NMDA receptors may exacerbate side effects, so it is advisable not to use them together. Special caution is needed when taken with NMDA antagonists, antipsychotics, antihypertensives, and anticoagulants.
