Prevention and improvement of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal, perennial) and rhinosinusitis (acute, with polyps).
This medication is used to alleviate symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children aged 2 years and older. It can particularly be taken prophylactically in moderate to severe seasonal allergic rhinitis patients 2 to 4 weeks before the expected allergen exposure. Additionally, it is effective for treating nasal polyps in adults aged 18 years and older. This medication is also utilized for treating acute rhinosinusitis without bacterial infection in adolescents aged 12 years and older and adults. It helps improve symptoms of various rhinitis and sinus diseases.
In the case of allergic rhinitis, adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older generally receive 2 sprays in each nostril once a day (total daily dose of 0.2 mg). If symptoms are alleviated, maintenance dosing can be reduced to 1 spray in each nostril once a day (total daily dose of 0.1 mg). If symptoms are not alleviated, the dose can be increased up to 4 sprays in each nostril once a day (total daily dose of 0.4 mg).
In the case of allergic rhinitis, children aged 2 to 11 years typically receive 1 spray in each nostril once a day (total daily dose of 0.1 mg).
