Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with urinary retention symptoms that make it difficult to urinate. It should also not be administered to patients with serious gastrointestinal issues, myasthenia gravis, or angle-closure glaucoma where the pressure in the eye is raised. Patients who are allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients, those undergoing hemodialysis, and patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function should not use this medication. Caution is particularly required for patients with moderate to severe liver function impairment who are taking strong CYP3A4 inhibitors. Patients who are genetically unable to digest certain sugars should also avoid this medication. Patients at risk of urinary obstruction or with decreased gastrointestinal motility, as well as those with severe kidney or liver impairment, should have their dosage limited and be carefully monitored. The dosage may also need to be adjusted if taken with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors. Patients taking medications that may exacerbate gastroesophageal reflux disease or esophagitis, and those with autonomic nervous system disorders should use this medication with caution. This medication may cause dry mouth and constipation, and can cause blurred vision or dry eyes. Also, serious gastrointestinal issues may occur rarely, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is required. Patients with heart disease or electrolyte imbalances may need to be cautious, as this medication can cause heart rhythm irregularities. If signs of angioedema or allergic reactions appear, discontinue the medication immediately and seek appropriate care. This medication may cause drowsiness, fatigue, or blurred vision, requiring caution when driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication with other anticholinergic drugs may increase its effects or side effects, so patients must inform their healthcare provider about any other medications they are taking. This medication is broken down by certain enzymes in the liver, so taking strong enzyme inhibitors together may increase the drug concentration, requiring dosage adjustment. Pregnant women should use this medication cautiously as its safety has not been established, and breastfeeding women should avoid it as it may pass into breast milk and affect the baby. It is advisable to avoid use in children as its safety and efficacy have not been confirmed. In the case of overdose, symptoms may include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision, and in severe cases, emergency treatment may be necessary. If overdose is suspected, immediate medical attention should be sought.
