How to take

Adult dose

This medication is to be taken once daily, one tablet with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). The recommended dosages are as follows: - 5/20 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine 5 mg or olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg. - 10/20 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years.

Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to any components of this medication, severe liver impairment, aortic stenosis, biliary obstruction, those on renal dialysis, in shock, or certain diabetes patients should not take this medication. Patients with aortic stenosis should be particularly cautious due to the risk of sudden blood vessel dilation and hypotension. Patients with severe heart diseases should use this medication with caution as it may increase the risk of angina or myocardial infarction. Patients with compromised renal function may experience worsening renal function due to this medication, thus requiring careful monitoring. Patients with liver impairment may have prolonged exposure to the medication in their bodies, necessitating dosage adjustment and observation. Side effects such as dizziness, headaches, hypotension, edema, dyspepsia may occur; severe symptoms should prompt consultation with a physician. This medication should not be used during pregnancy, and nursing mothers should consult their doctor before taking it, as the drug may pass into breast milk and affect the infant. Children under 18 years should not use this medication due to lack of established safety and efficacy. Elderly patients may have reduced liver, kidney, or heart function, should start at low doses, and their condition should be closely observed. In case of overdose, severe hypotension and vasodilation may occur, requiring immediate medical assistance and continuous monitoring of blood pressure and heart function. This medication should be stored away from direct sunlight and moisture, out of reach of children.
