Precautions

This medication contains the ingredient pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause a serious skin reaction known as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If fever, red spots on the skin, and small pustules develop, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication is contraindicated for individuals with certain health conditions. For instance, those who are allergic to this medication or have severe liver, kidney, or heart disease should not take it. Additionally, patients with urinary retention disorders, hypertension or coronary artery disease, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and infants under 2 years old should avoid this medication. Do not take this medication together with blood pressure medications, alcohol, sleeping pills, sedatives, or certain antidepressants, and particularly maintain a minimum 15-day interval between this medication and MAO inhibitors. During treatment, individuals should avoid activities requiring alertness, such as driving or operating dangerous machinery. Individuals with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or prostatic enlargement, as well as children under 12 years old, must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if high fever occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, if severe drowsiness, anxiety, hallucinations, muscle spasms, difficulty breathing, severe skin rash, vomiting, urinary difficulties, or gastrointestinal disturbances occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice promptly. Overdose may cause hallucinations, seizures, nervousness, dizziness, and insomnia; if these symptoms develop, seek treatment immediately. Finally, store this medication out of reach of children, protect it from direct sunlight, and keep it sealed in its original container in a cool, dry place. Transferring it to another container may diminish its quality.
