Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis) are representative joint diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis is characterized by joint inflammation due to an immune system disorder, accompanied by pain and swelling. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease that occurs as the cartilage in the joint wears away, primarily affecting the knee or hip. Both conditions cause joint pain and limited movement, making appropriate treatment essential. It is used to help alleviate these symptoms and improve function.

Precautions

This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume three or more alcoholic drinks a day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication belongs to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug class and may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, potentially leading to serious thrombotic reactions such as myocardial infarction or stroke. Even in individuals without a history of cardiovascular disease, careful monitoring for these symptoms is necessary, and immediate medical attention should be sought if they occur. This drug can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, and particular caution is needed for the elderly or patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers or allergic reactions to this medication's ingredients, as well as those with severe liver, kidney, or heart conditions, should not take this drug. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and breastfeeding mothers should not receive this medication. Patients with slightly impaired liver or kidney function, the elderly, or those with allergies to specific pigmentation components should use this medication cautiously. During treatment, hypersensitivity reactions or unusual symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, skin rashes, and shortness of breath may occur, and immediate consultation with medical personnel is necessary if any abnormal signs appear. This drug may worsen blood pressure elevation or heart failure symptoms; therefore, patients with hypertension or heart disease should be particularly cautious and frequently check their blood pressure. Patients should undergo regular tests of liver and kidney function during long-term use, and if abnormalities are observed, the medication may need to be discontinued. There may be drug interactions if taken with other anti-inflammatory drugs, anticoagulants, diuretics, lithium, or methotrexate, so it is crucial to inform your doctor of any other medications being taken. In the late stages of pregnancy, there is a risk of ductus arteriosus closure in the fetus, so it should not be used, and during breastfeeding, consideration should be given to stopping breastfeeding or discontinuing the medication due to its potential transfer into breast milk. This medication should not be given to children under 12 years of age, and the elderly should take the minimum dosage with particular attention to adverse reactions. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers should be avoided.
