(Hypertension, Angina) Reduction of myocardial ischemia and hospitalization risk, (Cardiovascular disease) Decrease in the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke
This medication is used for patients who need to take two drugs simultaneously. The first ingredient, amlodipine, is effective for hypertension, stable angina, and variant angina, where blood supply to the heart is temporarily reduced due to blood vessel constriction. Additionally, it reduces the risk of hospitalization due to angina in patients with coronary artery disease and the risk after vascular interventions. The second ingredient, atorvastatin, helps lower the risk of various cardiovascular diseases. It reduces the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke in adults with coronary artery disease risk factors and diabetes patients, and also lowers problems related to myocardial infarction, stroke, and angina in patients who already have heart disease. Furthermore, it is used to improve various types of dyslipidemia. Overall, this medication is used to prevent cardiovascular diseases and improve related symptoms.
This medication is administered only to adults, and the dosage should be individualized based on the effect and tolerance of the amlodipine/atorvastatin components for each patient. Amlodipine (as Es-Amlodipine): administered orally once daily at a dosage of 5 (2.5) mg, which can be increased to a maximum of 10 (5) mg daily according to the patient's response. Adjust accordingly based on symptoms. Atorvastatin can be taken at any time of the day, regardless of food.

For example, patients with allergies to this medicine or similar drugs, severely impaired liver function, active liver disease, very high liver enzyme levels, patients with obstructed bile secretion, patients with muscular disorders, patients with severe aortic stenosis, patients in shock, patients within one month after a myocardial infarction, patients with unstable angina, and patients currently taking certain antiviral medications should not take this drug. Also, it should be used cautiously in patients with severely reduced kidney function, elderly patients, patients with a history of alcohol dependency or liver disease, patients at high risk of muscle damage, patients with acute heart failure or hypertensive crises, patients with mildly impaired liver function, and patients with severe myasthenia gravis. When taking this medication, side effects such as fatigue, edema, dizziness, headache, dyspepsia, and muscle pain may occur; in some patients, skin rashes or allergic reactions may also occur. If symptoms of liver dysfunction or muscle abnormalities appear, consult a doctor immediately. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication and should use appropriate contraceptive methods if they are taking it. Nursing mothers should also avoid taking this medication.
