This medication is used for patients who need to take two drugs simultaneously. The first ingredient, amlodipine, is effective for hypertension, stable angina, and variant angina, where blood supply to the heart is temporarily reduced due to blood vessel constriction. Additionally, it reduces the risk of hospitalization due to angina in patients with coronary artery disease and the risk after vascular interventions. The second ingredient, atorvastatin, helps lower the risk of various cardiovascular diseases. It reduces the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke in adults with coronary artery disease risk factors and diabetes patients, and also lowers problems related to myocardial infarction, stroke, and angina in patients who already have heart disease. Furthermore, it is used to improve various types of dyslipidemia. Overall, this medication is used to prevent cardiovascular diseases and improve related symptoms.
