Adult dose
Adults and children aged 12 or older or weighing 40 kg or more are administered 1 capsule of 250 mg/125 mg of amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium orally 3 times a day, every 8 hours. For severe and respiratory infections, the dose can be increased to 500 mg/125 mg. In cases of renal impairment, adjust the dose according to creatinine clearance. - Creatinine clearance 10–30 mL/min: 1 capsule of 250–500 mg is taken orally every 12 hours.
Child dose
Children aged 12 or older or weighing 40 kg or more are given the same dosage as adults. For children with renal impairment, the dosage should be reduced in the same manner as for adults.

This medication is effective in treating infections caused by various bacteria. It is used for respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscess, as well as for tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also effective for urogenital infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis. It is applied in the treatment of pelvic infections, gonorrhea, furuncles and abscesses, soft tissue infections, wound infections, and osteomyelitis. It can also be used for dental infections, making it helpful for a wide range of infectious diseases. It is used to improve various bacterial infections.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 12 or older or weighing 40 kg or more are administered 1 capsule of 250 mg/125 mg of amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium orally 3 times a day, every 8 hours. Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. It should not be administered to patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or to beta-lactam antibiotics. Symptoms of liver function abnormalities may occur during treatment or after discontinuation, so regular liver function tests are required with long-term use. Rarely, severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis may occur, so patients should be closely monitored after administration. Abnormalities in blood, kidney function impairment, central nervous system disturbances have also been reported, and if any unusual symptoms arise, medical personnel should be informed immediately. This medication can affect the intestinal flora and may interact with other medications, so caution is needed when used with other drugs. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should carefully consider the potential effects on the fetus or infant before using this drug. Its use in children under 12 years of age or weighing less than 40 kg is not recommended due to limited experience.
