Precautions

This medicine contains the artificial sweetener aspartame. Aspartame is broken down into phenylalanine in the body, so it should not be used by patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic disorder that requires limitation of phenylalanine. The daily intake of aspartame should be limited to below 40mg per kg of body weight as recommended by WHO, and up to 2.4g per day is safe for adults. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medicine, those with ulcers in the stomach and duodenum, and children under 2 years old should not take this medicine. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult with a doctor before taking this medicine, and nursing mothers should be cautious since it is unclear whether this medicine is excreted in breast milk. If digestive symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, heartburn, diarrhea, or hypersensitivity reactions such as hives, itching, rash, headaches, tinnitus, or worsening asthma symptoms occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult an expert. Also, occasionally there may be rapid heartbeat or increased blood pressure, and very rarely serious allergic reactions may occur, so caution is needed. This medicine can diminish the effectiveness of certain oral antibiotics when taken together, so it is advisable to take them at least 2 hours apart. It is recommended to avoid mixing this medicine solution with other drugs. When storing, keep it out of reach of children and store in its original container to maintain the quality of the medication and prevent misuse.
