Relief of oral inflammation (gingivitis, canker sores, etc.) and infection prevention effects
This medication is used to relieve various oral inflammations, including inflammation caused by prostheses, oral candidiasis such as canker sores, gingivitis, pharyngitis, and aphthous stomatitis. It is also effective for sterilization and disinfection after root membrane surgeries. Therefore, this drug helps improve the symptoms of various oral inflammatory diseases and prevent postoperative infections.
15mL per dose, twice a day, swish for about 1 minute. For stomatitis caused by dentures, soak the dentures in the solution for 15 minutes twice a day.
This medication may disrupt the balance of normal bacteria in the mouth, so it is advisable not to use it for long periods of time. Individuals with hypersensitivity should not use this medication. Use with caution if there is a history of asthma or allergic diseases. During use, there may be discoloration of teeth or oral surfaces, an increase in tartar, and possibly altered sensations. In particular, in children, oral mucosal peeling or mild irritation may occur. Rarely, serious allergic reactions, including shock symptoms, may occur; if nausea, discomfort, sweating, dizziness, or difficulty breathing arises, use should be discontinued immediately and medical attention sought. If hypersensitivity reactions such as rashes or hives occur, discontinue the use of this medication. Temporary swelling of salivary glands may occur. For general bacterial infections, antibiotics should be used instead of this medication, typically not using it for more than 10 days. In patients with both gingivitis and periodontitis, the effects of treatment for periodontitis should not be judged solely based on the condition of gingivitis after treatment with this medication. Discoloration may occur on tooth surfaces, prostheses, and the back of the tongue, especially if wearing rough or porous prostheses. Discoloration that is difficult to remove may require replacement of the prosthesis, so individuals who do not want discoloration should not use it. During pregnancy, this medication should only be used when the benefits outweigh the risks, and during lactation, caution should be exercised as this medication may pass into breast milk. The safety and efficacy in children under 18 years old are not established, hence its use is not recommended. This medication is for oral rinsing only and should not be ingested. When storing, keep out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place with the cap tightly closed. It is also important to avoid placing it near fire.
