This medication is used to relieve respiratory symptoms such as cough and phlegm.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 years and older: 2 capsules taken 30 minutes after meals, 3 times a day.

Child dose

Ages 11 years to less than 15 years: 1.33 capsules taken 30 minutes after meals, 3 times a day. Ages 8 years to less than 11 years: 1 capsule taken 30 minutes after meals, 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication should never be taken by infants under 3 months of age. People who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or any of its ingredients should avoid taking it. Those who are currently taking MAO inhibitors, including antidepressants and antipsychotics, or have discontinued them within the past 2 weeks, should not take this medication. It is safer not to take other cough medicines, cold medicines, antihistamines, or sedatives while taking this medication. Individuals with allergies or a history of allergic reactions to medications should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. People with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid diseases, diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, or urinary difficulties, as well as the elderly, frail individuals, and those with high fever should also consult a professional before taking this medication. Pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should definitely consult healthcare professionals before taking this medication. Smokers, individuals with asthma or chronic bronchitis, or those experiencing chronic cough lasting more than one week, cough with fever or rash, or persistent headaches should consult a doctor as well. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty urinating, severe thirst, anxiety, trembling, or insomnia occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult healthcare professionals. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication 5 to 6 times, stop taking it and consult a doctor. This medication should not be administered to children under 2 years old unless absolutely necessary, and only after consulting a physician. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and if children are taking it, the guardian must guide and supervise them. Children under 7 years old are recommended to take syrup formulations instead of this medication. Alcohol should not be consumed during the course of this medication, and care should be taken to avoid driving or operating machinery due to potential drowsiness. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, in a tightly sealed container. To maintain quality, it is important not to transfer the medication to another container.
