Precautions

This medication plays a role in regulating body fluid balance, and it is crucial to appropriately restrict fluid intake to prevent hyponatremia and water intoxication. It is important to drink water only to the extent that it does not alleviate thirst while taking this medication, as excessive fluid intake can lead to coma or serious side effects. This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, individuals who are allergic to this drug or its components, those with severe renal impairment, diagnosed hyponatremia, or those with genetic lactose-related issues should not take this medication. Additionally, individuals with hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney diseases, pregnant women, children, and the elderly should exercise caution while using this medication, and careful administration is required in cases of other diseases that can cause fluid and electrolyte imbalances.
