Precautions

This medication may cause hyponatremia and water intoxication in elderly patients or those with certain diseases, so it is important to hydrate appropriately to the level of feeling thirsty. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication or with certain conditions such as heart failure, kidney failure, or syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion should not use it.
