Precautions

This medication should not be used for extended periods as it may disrupt the normal bacterial balance in the mouth. Individuals with allergic reactions to any ingredients in this medication, or those who have had such experiences in the past, should not use it. This medication is for oral use only and should not be swallowed or used near the eyes and ears. If it accidentally comes into contact with the eyes or ears, rinse immediately with water. Do not use this medication on areas of the skin with poor blood circulation, wounds, or ulcers. This medication does not mix well with anionic ingredients found in regular toothpaste or soap, so ensure to rinse the mouth thoroughly after brushing and wait at least 5 minutes before using this medication. After using this medication, it is advisable to avoid foods or beverages containing sugar, as sugar may decrease its effectiveness. Individuals with asthma or respiratory hypersensitivity should consult a physician or pharmacist before using this medication as inhalation may cause breathing difficulties. People with a history of allergies or a family history of allergies should consult a professional before use. Pregnant women should only use this medication when its benefits outweigh the risks, and breastfeeding women should use it cautiously. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children under 18 years have not been adequately confirmed. If skin rashes, swelling of the lips, tongue, or face, or difficulty breathing occur while using this medication, cease use immediately and consult a doctor. Initially, there may be a tingling sensation on the tongue or temporary changes in the oral mucosa, and decreased taste sensation or numbness of the tongue may occur. If such symptoms persist, consult a professional. There may be discoloration of the teeth, dentures, or the surface of the tongue to yellow or brown, so caution is needed. Some ingredients in this medication may cause skin irritation. For general bacterial infections, antibiotics should be used instead of this medication, and treatment duration should typically not exceed 10 days. Patients with both gingivitis and periodontitis should not judge the effectiveness of periodontitis treatment solely based on gingivitis after using this medication. There may be staining on dental surfaces, restorations, or the back of the tongue, so individuals who do not wish to have staining should decide using it with caution. If staining occurs on restorations, it may be difficult to remove, and they may need to be replaced on occasion. If an excessive amount of this medication has been applied, it should be rinsed off with water. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place.
