This medication is used to relieve symptoms caused by common cold (acute rhinitis), allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis, such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, tearing, sore throat, and a heavy head.
How to take
Adult dose
Typically, adults take 1 capsule after meals three times a day.
Precautions
This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. Persons with a history of allergic reactions to this medication or its components should avoid taking it. Those taking MAO inhibitors, including antidepressants or antipsychotic medications, should not use this medication if they have stopped taking them within the last 2 weeks. During the use of this medication, it should not be taken with other oral medications for rhinitis or cold medications containing antihistamines, cough suppressants, motion sickness medication, or allergy medication. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 5, so people with hypersensitivity or a history of allergies to this ingredient should use it cautiously. Those with a predisposition to develop hives, dermatitis, migraines, food allergies, etc., should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. People who have previously experienced allergic symptoms such as fever, rash, joint pain, asthma, or itching due to medications should also consult before taking it. Caution should be exercised for individuals with high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, urinary difficulties, thyroid disease, diabetes, or those who are weak or have a high fever. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant or are breastfeeding should consult a specialist before taking this medication. Elderly individuals or those receiving medical treatment should also consult before taking it. Smokers, asthmatics, patients with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, excessive phlegm, persistent cough lasting more than a week, fever, or rash accompanying a cough, as well as those with persistent headaches should be cautious. If symptoms such as hemorrhagic stroke, nausea, vomiting, severe thirst, constipation, loss of appetite, rash, itching, urinary difficulties, headache, facial flushing, or abnormal photophobia occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. If severe allergic reactions such as hives, swelling, chest tightness, pallor, cold extremities, cold sweat, or difficulty breathing occur after taking it, seek immediate medical attention. If symptoms do not improve after taking it 5 to 6 times, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Children under 2 years old should not take this medication except in special cases and must seek a doctor's care if necessary. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and administration, and it is advised not to take it for prolonged periods. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. To maintain quality, it is important not to transfer the medication to another container.
