This medication is used in adults to treat dermatophyte infections such as tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris, as well as onychomycosis. It is effective for treating tinea capitis in children. In other words, it is used to improve various skin and nail fungal infections.

How to take

Adult dose

As terbinafine: 125 mg once, administered twice daily, or 250 mg once daily. Precautions

This drug should generally not be used in patients with chronic liver disease or active liver disease. A liver function test must be performed before administration, and it should be monitored regularly during treatment, with immediate cessation of use if any abnormal signs are detected. Symptoms that may indicate liver dysfunction include nausea, loss of appetite, fatigue, vomiting, right upper abdominal pain, jaundice, dark urine, diarrhea, etc. If any of these symptoms occur, the doctor should be informed immediately. Additionally, hepatic failure can rarely occur, so if liver damage is suspected, the medication must be stopped immediately. This medication should not be administered to patients who are hypersensitive to its components, those with chronic or active liver disease, blood disorders, severe renal failure, nursing mothers, or infants under 2 years of age. Since it contains lactose, patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should also refrain from taking it. Caution is advised when administering to patients with reduced kidney function, the elderly (aged 65 or older), or children weighing less than 20 kg. Serious skin reactions may rarely occur, so if a rash or abnormal symptoms develop, use should be discontinued immediately. Patients with psoriasis or systemic lupus erythematosus should be particularly vigilant when using this medication. During treatment with this drug, liver function, blood tests, skin condition, etc., should be monitored regularly, and if abnormal symptoms appear, consultation with a doctor should occur immediately. Patients should be cautious while driving or operating machinery, as symptoms such as dizziness may occur. This medication may interact with other drugs, particularly those affecting liver metabolism, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is recommended if taking other medications. When used in conjunction with oral contraceptives, menstrual irregularities may occur, so caution is advised. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, thus pregnant women or those who might become pregnant should use it cautiously, and breastfeeding mothers should avoid using it. In case of overdose, symptoms such as headache, nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, etc., may appear, and appropriate treatment should be administered based on the symptoms. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, protected from sunlight, and stored at room temperature. Transferring to another container is not advisable as it may compromise quality.

Fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, rash, itching, photosensitivity reactions, taste disorders, drowsiness, insomnia, anxiety, depression, hypotension, increase in serum cholesterol and triglycerides, menstrual irregularities, thrombocytopenia, anemia, visual disturbances, tinnitus, lethargy, weight loss, glossitis, tongue discoloration, palpitations, edema, fever, musculoskeletal pain, and weakness, sensory abnormalities, drowsiness, insomnia, BUN
