This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of the common cold, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 15 and older: Take 2 capsules three times a day, 30 minutes after meals.

Precautions

This medication may affect the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using it. Serious rashes or blisters may develop on the skin while taking this medication, so if any unusual skin symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. This medication contains acetaminophen, so caution should be exercised to avoid exceeding the maximum daily dosage, and it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing products. Additionally, since it contains pseudoephedrine, if symptoms such as fever, skin rash, or small blisters develop, discontinue use and consult a professional. This medication should not be taken by individuals with a history of specific allergies or asthma, infants under 3 months of age, those taking certain antidepressants, and those with severe hypertension or kidney diseases. Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor, difficulty breathing → severe allergic reactions.
  • Severe rash accompanied by high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa → severe skin adverse reactions.
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, cough + fever associated with breathing problems → respiratory issues.
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy → liver issues (jaundice).

Mild side effects

Rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, difficulty urinating, thirst, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high-pitched ion-induced metabolic acidosis.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take with oral medications containing cough suppressants, expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretics and analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Do not take this medication if you are using or have recently stopped using an MAO inhibitor within the last two weeks. Consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking this medication with diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, or tricyclic antidepressants.

Food interactions

Do not consume alcohol during treatment.
