Improvement of asthma symptoms through the combination of a bronchodilator and inhaled corticosteroid
The combination of a bronchodilator and inhaled corticosteroids is highly effective for asthma treatment. The bronchodilator relaxes the muscles of the airways, facilitating breathing, while the inhaled corticosteroid helps alleviate asthma symptoms by reducing inflammation. Using these two drugs together effectively manages symptoms such as shortness of breath, coughing, and wheezing associated with asthma. It also contributes to decreasing the frequency and severity of asthma attacks. This combination plays an important role in improving respiratory function in the patient's daily life and in the stable management of asthma. Therefore, using this combination therapy for asthma treatment is appropriate.
Adults and children over 12 years should inhale the following doses depending on the severity of the disease. Salmeterol 50 μg + Fluticasone Propionate 100 μg twice daily or Salmeterol 50 μg + Fluticasone Propionate 250 μg twice daily or Salmeterol 50 μg + Fluticasone Propionate 500 μg twice daily.
