This medication is effective against a variety of bacterial infections and is used to treat respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also effective for urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis. It is utilized for the treatment of pelvic infections and sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea, as well as skin and soft tissue infections such as boils, abscesses, cellulitis, and wound infections. The drug is also utilized in the treatment of osteomyelitis and dental infections, improving bacterial infections in various locations.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication is a beta-lactam antibiotic that belongs to the penicillin group and should not be administered to certain patients. Rarely, renal function impairment and central nervous system symptoms may arise, thus caution is required. Prolonged use of this medication may lead to a tendency to bleed due to vitamin K deficiency, necessitating regular checks. This medication may interact with other drugs; therefore, it is essential to inform the doctor or pharmacist, especially when used in conjunction with anticoagulants or certain antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
