Precautions

This medication should not be used in individuals with allergic reactions to certain components or those who have experienced hypersensitivity to similar medications in the past. Furthermore, patients who are taking certain antibiotics or other medications, pregnant or breastfeeding women, should not take this medication. Caution is especially needed for patients with impaired liver function and the elderly, and it should be administered with care in those with a history of drug allergies. If any hypersensitivity reactions occur during treatment, such as skin rash or itching, the medication must be discontinued immediately. Regular blood tests are necessary as changes in red or white blood cell counts may occur. If there are signs of liver dysfunction or increases in biochemical blood levels, discontinuation and appropriate measures should be taken. Various side effects such as cardiovascular symptoms, gastrointestinal abnormalities, headaches, dizziness, muscle pain, skin rashes may occur; if any unusual symptoms appear, consult medical personnel. Long-term use of this medication may increase the risk of fractures and cause hypomagnesemia due to lower magnesium levels, so magnesium supplementation and regular monitoring may be needed. Suppressing gastric acid secretion may increase the risk of bacterial infections in the gastrointestinal tract, so if diarrhea persists, inform medical personnel. Caution is needed while driving or operating machinery as drowsiness may occur. There may be interactions with other medications, so inform your healthcare provider about any other medications being taken, particularly when using antibiotics, antivirals, and anticoagulants. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication, and caution should be exercised for the elderly as they may experience side effects due to impaired liver function. Safety for pediatric use has not been established, and there is limited experience with its use. The tablet should not be chewed or crushed but swallowed whole, and it should be stored out of the reach of children. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so treatment and supportive care based on symptoms are necessary. It is important to monitor health status through regular check-ups if this medication is used for a long time or if any unusual symptoms occur.
