This medication is effective against various bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Streptococcus pyogenes, and is used for the treatment of complicated skin and soft tissue infections, community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and acute sinusitis. It is also effective for the treatment of chronic bacterial prostatitis and mild to moderate urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis. However, due to the nature of fluoroquinolone drugs, there is a risk of serious adverse reactions, so it is recommended to use this medication when other treatment options are not viable for acute bacterial sinusitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, uncomplicated urinary tract infections, and complicated skin infections. In summary, this drug is used for the treatment of various bacterial infections and should be prescribed carefully according to the patient's condition.
