It may be applied to gynecological infections (excluding vaginal infections), peritonitis, fistulas, chalazion, and keratoconjunctivitis as well. However, in some conditions, it should be used cautiously and only when no other treatment options are available. For acute infections, treatment usually lasts for 5-10 days, and even after symptoms resolve, treatment should continue for at least 3 more days. Precautions

This medication can cause serious side effects such as tendonitis, tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, and central nervous system abnormalities. It should not be used in patients with myasthenia gravis as symptoms may worsen. This medication is used restrictively for specific infections such as acute bacterial rhinosinusitis, acute exacerbations of chronic lung disease, uncomplicated urinary tract infections, and acute otitis media. Elderly patients, those with renal impairment, and patients taking corticosteroids are at higher risk for tendon ruptures and should avoid concomitant use. If tendon pain or inflammation appears, stop using the medication immediately and rest, avoiding exercise. This medication can increase the risk of seizure, so patients with epilepsy or central nervous system conditions should use caution. Women who are pregnant or nursing, adolescents under 18 years old, patients with epilepsy, and those allergic to this medication or similar drugs should not use it. This medication may interact with other drugs, so consult a medical professional if taking other medications. During treatment, if symptoms like severe diarrhea, rashes, visual or auditory disturbances, severe muscle pain, or shortness of breath occur, seek medical attention immediately. Additionally, this medication may react sensitively to sunlight; avoid strong sunlight and artificial UV exposure, and discontinue use if phototoxicity symptoms develop. Diabetic patients requiring blood sugar control should closely monitor blood sugar changes, and seek immediate treatment if hypoglycemic symptoms appear. This medication can affect renal function, so patients with renal disorders should have regular kidney function tests. In cases of overdose, appropriate emergency measures and monitoring are required to prevent renal function damage.
